one of my HDD just died

though that exact same drive has done this before, but it was probably at least 5 or mor years ago, and i have no idea and cant remember how i got it to work again the last time

HDD usually have a lifespan hence why its recommended to have backups

So ideally you should have 2 backups at least then upgrade one of them if it has been running for years

bro, and im getting ready to put in a new SSD by the end of this month too

still tho... I think its recoverable since HDD uses a spinning disc to keep storage so you might be able to get it if sent to the repair store

and if you do recover it... put those onto a new drive already... and have backups

actually, this HDD that just went bweh is a external HD that is also a hub

so like i have other external HDD that is hooked up to it (those are my back up drives, and everything that is currently connected to the ports on the hub shows up, but the drive inside the hub doesnt
