Oh yeah, SSDs can be a headache. That's why I have CrystalDiskInfo running in the background, to see health statuses and possible errors

Also some software might "grind down" the health very quickly if it's not set up correctly. For example, when it creates and deletes large/lots of files repeatedly

There's a tool called SsdReady that helps identify possible culprits. It records how many MBs all the processes read/write

I didn't know about it for a long time, so one of my SSDs went down to 45% health Turned out my antivirus downloaded updates like crazy. Plus a download manager created too many temp files

After I replaced the programs and the SSD, plus disabled some Windows services, it's still at 99% health after 2 years Also bought an enclosure to use the old NVMe stick as a USB drive

Forgot to mention, there are tools that let you clone whole drives, so you don't need to reinstall anything. I used Samsung Data Migration, worked like a charm. I hope someone helps Biboo..

It worries me when I see quotes like "I don't want to lose my files" Please learn the importance of backing up regularly. Don't wait until it's too late.
