its crazy, gura is by far the biggest en vtuber, pretty much everyone in this community is probably subscribed. It really does feel like the end of an era

tbf i saw it coming from Mooms, Ame, and Gura. I just think Fauna didnt want the stress from all of the traveling and deadlines. I am sure they do a lot behind the scenes.

Gura did say her problems specifically were with management (unlike mumei who is also dealing with health issues) so its pretty likely we will see her again

I am 100% sure that the issues with management lie in company direction. They are looking for active "idols" that means more focus on traveling and music not just streaming.

Agreed, I think the reason is that something in their contract has to do with the dates hence why they’re so close

With how musically talented Bae, Calli, and Irys are I wouldnt think we should expect anythign from them soon.

Bae has mentioned having some tough burnout, but if she moved to Japan i imagine shes here for the long haul

I also have a speculation on the reasons based on the patterns so far, but don't wannt throw out anythin without substance

things will be alright tbf.. I thought that after fauna left it would be the end. but she just got replaced. I really tried to, until fes came, and I realized that I wasnt having fun anymore

it could be as simple as: not as enough high margin stuff like superchats now, so less pay, and so disagreement on the cut

gura was the most subed vtuber in the world, she was a brand in and of herself, if it was a simple contract, i think hololive would have tried their best to keep her

subscribers unfortunately aren't what brings in money -- viewership (particularly ad money and superchats) and sponsorships are the main sources of money, along with company-wide stuff like merch

also dont mean to be that guy but. She didnt really stream. maybe like 10 stream and the song with Marine in the past 2 years. We knew it was coming.

and as much people in the vtuber circles see Gura as a huge brand, in the grand scheme of things, it's still very niche and corpos and indies alike have to be creative with getting more money

especially considering Cover is a JP company and so pay probably is computed in JPY, and along with no longer having pademic viewership...

but they can take a majority of the cut though. if views and supers are the majority youtube and Hololive took a cut. indies just have YT to deal with.

and at the end of the day, no one likes seeing their total comp drop year over year

the way i see it is -- it's likely "just business" from both sides, as sad as it may seem to a dedicated viewer

Hololive is not dying, Gura will not disappear, im sure the vods and member streams will stay up, and we will still have so many legendary clips
