the diamond shaped boxes in the bottom of the screen are radars.knuckles stages are basically a game of hot and cold for shards, the radar will beep and change colors the closer you are to them

so ya fly around, and travel the area. the radar will light green if youre cold and red if hot. ya may have to dig, break boxes or move stuff. there are also hints spread around. good luck!
