I asked during the Doggy Pack stream if I could tell you a personal story on my birthday, but I realized that was a homework day, so I’m gonna say it today! It may be few days before, but I’ll still do my best, even if I’m a little embarrassed…

The beginning of this story may not make sense, but I promise there’s a point to it, so bear with me! It’s starts a few years ago on my mama puppy’s birthday. I got her a necklace with her birthstone hanging from it… but, I got the wrong stone.

I got my birthstone on accident. It’s just me, my mama puppy, and her boyfriend, so I wanted to make sure I got her a gift that meant something. I felt bad about the mistake and offered to get the correct one instead, but she loved it.

She wore it everyday after that. Even when her rings would get uncomfortable, she never took off her necklace once. Now, I’m not sure if you remember me talking about an incident that happened around last August. It was a bit after Advent’s debut.

It was the 15th when my mama puppy passed away. It was sudden and without warning. She was home with our puppies when it happened, but… that was the day everything kinda went dark for me. Like my life fell apart in an instant and without mercy.

And when I was given her necklace alongside the rest of her belongings, I put it on. To this day I have never taken it off. On my birthday last year, I pretended to be sick, and laid in bed the entire day, just holding the small gem on the necklace.

I was unable to really want to celebrate it without her. Like it was a betrayal since she always wanted to celebrate it with me. That dark empty feeling persisted for many months, and a lot of things I could enjoy before felt tainted…

Then, around late February, I found clips of you two. You brought something I very much needed to see. Silliness unbound by any of the darkness around me. Joy unrivaled from just how earnest your hearts are, and is shown so brightly every single day.

And just something so pure in goodness that I couldn’t stop myself from smiling a bit, even when feeling so down. It’s embarrassing to admit, but you two were the reason I was able to start moving forward. To want to be a better me than I was being.

I loved Advent's cover of Shunkan Heartbeat so much! I am seriously blown away by how much all of you improve with each new song and it's only been a year! Advent is so amazing! (p.s. good luck with URAYAMA! might be a good warmup for horror month!)

The last part of my message didn’t want to send, but… thank you! For letting me feel like celebrating my birthday again! For being my guiding light! Thank you so so so so so much! Much much love through this scary game! BAU BAU!!!

There's a Shin-chan game available on Steam, made by the BokuNatsu developers. Others in Hololive played it, so it could make perms easier. It's a nice and comfy japanese countryside game without the scares. Maybe you'd enjoy it! It's in english too.
